It will be next week, if someone does not help you first, I'll pull my dipstick and see if a number is on it. I'm not near it now.

Kem, I have to get a stool to reach the dip stick. The A/C evaporator box has insulating foil blanket which may flop over the dipstick which is low between the A/C box and engine. Maybe someone esle can help with vss.

Vss should go in on top of rear differential towards the front of the pumpkin.

With an E4OD that should be the VSS as well. It serves both purposes on these trucks. I think all trucks with an E4Od do this IIRC.

take a look on the top of your rear diff. snap a pic if you can that way i can see what you have compared to me.
i always heard that as well about the sensor being at the rear diff. this 94 is a whole new animal for me.

Kem, just out of curiosity, what makes you think that that is not the VSS on your ride?

because if you go to the parts store. the Vehicle speed sensor is a totally different part then what is bolted to the top of the rear diff which is called the rear abs sensor.
now that rear abs sensor talks to other things and im sure senses vehicle speed via a pulse but it not truely called that part
