I think Jr. may have an expectation problem. Anything less than a championship will be considered a failure. A normal driver with a new team and a new crew would be considered successful if they were in the top 10 but with Jr., they will expect more.
In my opinion,he just killed his personality, because he won't be able to express it at Hendrick motorsports. You can't drive for hendrick and say anything negative about nascar, you gotta toe the line and be politically correct. this will be the most boring team in nascar in a long while. who gives a damn if they win every race, get some peronality and spunk. And like said already,we will see how good of a driver he is. he will have good equipment now as much as i hate to say that about hendricls or any other chevy team.
THEIR sponsors this is a business, it is not about racing it is about being in business ...and championships put you at the top of that empire.
Jr joing HMS, just added 50M to it's net worth....That is what it is all about.
...ug...the most boring team in NBA history...they need to get Rodman out there ...in a dress ...to liven the place up....
i miss them days of the rodman era, but i do have to say, just watching them absolutely taken every key player out of there in game in every series is remarkable. opponents scoring average dropped 15 points per game almost is rediculous. sweep baby
duncan is 31 and in his prime, 2 more rings to catch jordan.
they have no high flyers, no endorsement whor**, and the best part is when they lose, its usually because they beat themselves.
and the kicker the years they didnt win the championship, they squandered series leads ( last year up 3-2 vs mavs in west conference championships).
they are far from being done, which is scary, duncan, parker, ginobili are young and not going anywhere.
I don't really care what Dale jr. does but i just can't believe that at 32 years old, after his 8+ years in nascar he has 17 wins (which is still only 2.## per season) no championships, and no poles in 5 years this man could have 80%+ of the fan base. This either means that he's doing something that im not seeing here or he's still riding his fathers coat tails...
My favorite thing to do on a sunday night is to watch sportscenter and have someone talking more about jr.'s 15th or 20th place finish than who won the race, led the most laps or did the most passing.

.
theres a list of quality/respected/talented drivers with less than 17 wins in 8 years........so whats the point.
if jr wasnt there and there is supposed a declining fan base, it would be alot less without jr craziness
the point is, being the biggest name in nascar, bringing huge money because of his last name is the only reason hes going to the best team in nascar, not because hes a talent ....IMO hendrick is loosing a future champion in kyle bush.
