hey guys.. i have a craftsman creeper and it "had a blow out" lol... one of the plastic casters has fallen off and disappeared. Considering it is craftsman with a lifetime warranty, what do i do? Can i take it to sears and get a new one free?
be nice to have it since i need to change oil soon in the truck
Are you sure it has a lifetime warranty? I thought that was only on craftsman hand tools.
If it does in fact have a warranty, just take it in and explain it to them. Being Sears, they will probably just give you a new caster instead of a whole new creeper though.
Creapers are like jacks and the other lifting equipment. They only have a 1 year warranty if that. There is a slim chance a Sears store would have casters. You would be better off contacting Lisle in Clarinda Iowa directly to get a new wheel.
i called up and the answer is a negative, just guaranteed on tools, not a creeper. so now if i can figure out a way to prove that the creeper is a tool, i may be home free. like 3 more wheels fell off it while it was in the back of the truck lol
I'll bet you can get Sears to replace the creeper. If the first clerk is no help, ask for a supervisor. If he/she is no help ask for their boss.
Still won't work, most likely.
Sears' managers are under significant pressure to maintain and improve margins and the avoidance of improper warranty exchanges is high on their visibility list.
