I got a 1989 F150 302 with 110,000 miles. Already advanced the timing to 14 btc,installed a FIPK, and 3inch exhaust with a bullet muffler. Would a chip give me any more power??
Probably not enough to make it worth it, a 302, especially with the timing advanced already, just isn't going to get a lot from a chip --- if it were newer I'd say go for it by I haven't seen good results with it in many cases on 1990 and older (I keep a log of any issues reported with all the chips we ship).

I don't really want to do anything more radical than that. I'm not building a race truck, just want to get the most out of my truck without changing the inards. Thanks.

Well, since this topic is right along what I was gonna ask ya Ken, I'll just add to the thread.
I have an '89 F-250HD 4x4 w/ 460, C6, and 4.10 gears. I've removed the muffler and now have the stock cat exiting into one 2.5" pipe going out the side. On the intake side I have two cylindrical K&N filters, one on each hose, and the H-pipe with the air restrictors has been replaced with a pvc setup with less restriction.
Would a chip do me any good with this? What about if I installed headers? I must say I'm rather dense when it comes to how this stuff actually works.
