rust in turbo

rust in turbo
I have an 05 that ford recently replaced the turbo (20000mi.) the cause: rust in turbo? Make any sense?

yes. drive your truck more often.

Welcome to the site!

Are you the original owner? I've read posts about rusty turbos...and I've read about turbos needing replaced with low miles on them....so it's not unheard of.

Mine was just changed for the same reason and I drive about 30k a year.

Mine was changed out at 20K for the same reason as well as it gave out. There is a TSB on it in the folder above.
