Well it all depends upon what you plan on doing with your truck. You can put some 20" or bigger I think stock, but they aren't that great for towing or off-roading.

Just get some bigger Tires to fill up your wheel wells. If you purchase bigger rims the price of your tires also goes up. You can get 285/75/16 in load E. and maybe even 295/75/16

I am running Rickson wheels on mine, http://www.ricksontruck.com/ in the 19.5 size. I tow a good size 5er and since I went with this combo, haven't had a bit of problems towing. Doesn't squat or wear out tires like it did before. They aren't cheap, but if I can get 100,000 miles on a set of tires, its well worth it and no worries when towing.

I'm running 16" rims with 35" tires that are E load range. Honestly i would go 18" max unless you get the Rickson wheels

The 08's have an optional 20" wheels running LT275/65R20 tires. They make a huge difference in the look of the truck. But check the bolt pattern and any offset issues first.

Yeah, I'm not sure what you mean by fill it up. Tires are what fill the wheel wells. A 35" tire is a 35" tire if it's on a 15" wheel or 20" wheel; however, the "look" is different because of the amount of sidewall that shows. The amount of sidewall has an effect on the ride and what tires are available in what rating have an effect on the tow/haul capacity.

Yes, it would be helpfull if you would elaborate a little more. Can you define "fill it up"? does this mean bigger tire, same rim, or bigger rim, same diameter tire. or just bigger bigger for the hell of being bigger? and welcome to fte!

I gotta go now, my head is spinning and I am starting to type wiertd stuff.

I personally like having quite a bit of sidewall... especially if there are EXPENSIVE aftermarket rims involved. Though right now it seems cheaper to buy some aftermarket rims than replacements through the dealer.

Nothing worse than sitting on the side of the road with a bent rim with a low profile tire just because you didn't see a pot hole or something else.

What he said...especially about the bent rim. I like SOME of the looks of larger rims...but then you give up some "safety" when it comes to rough roads.

Try a set of larger tires like mentioned before. I am running the 285-75/16's on mine. It does add more rubber to the wheel well but remember, you will loose a little mileage the larger you go. Just a little though. Not enough to really worry about.

Take a look in my gallery. You can see I had 16"s with the 285 75 16's and I upgraded to 18" wheels with 285 65 18's. I love the way it looks. The tire diameter of the 285 16's and the 285 18's is 2/10ths of a inch.
