Hello out there. I am trying to diagnose my problem with my dirver door power window. I do not know what to jumper to see if the switch is the problem. No problem removing the switch assy. thanks to the threads in this forum. Tried jumping LB/BK to both wires going to the motor per the wiring diagram (TN/LB and WH/BK, page 100-3 in the Ford Revised Wiring Diagram) - separately and together. The LB/BK did have 12VDC on it when I did this with the key switch to ACC. Maybe I have completed the test and just don't know it.
Symptoms were: For a while, window was intermittent - would work up & down but then would do neither. A good "bop!" on the inside door panel, below the switches, would get it going so I winged it for the last 2 months or so. Now the bop is a useless gesture.
This sounds like the brushes in the motor are gone and you need motor replacement. If the motor is running and the window won't go up then you probably have bad gears. Jim
I have the same problem..mine is intermittent. I tried lubing the linkage and cleaning the contacts to no avail. Mine sticks..you can hear a click when you push the button..but nothing will happen. touch the window or push on it and walla, it will move. I was going to change the operating switch to see if that was the problem. Its no fun pulling up to a drive thru and your window wont open.

These are classic symptoms of bad brushes in the motor. They don't have enough tension on the commutator to carry the current necessary to start. Replacing the brushes will solve this. But I don't know where to buy the brushes therefore it is just as easy to change the motor with a new one. I know some will want to clean the brushes. But the pain/agony of pulling the motor out a second time isn't worth the effort for me. I'd rather be fishing or flying than pulling a window motor the second time. Jim
UPDATE: I took it to a good mechanic - they replaced the motor & regulator for under $200. Got the parts from the dealer - their price was better than their non-dealer supplier. Now I can dashboard dine without worry about chipping the door edge paint again!
