Just wondering why is a 352 a 352, does it have a 4 inch bore and 3.50 stroke just like the 351W and 351M? I have had one in the past and its a good engine.Just corious.
Anyone know?
The 352 was one of the first of the FE engines in 1958, the 332 being the other. The 332 had a 4.00" bore and a 3.30" stroke, while the 352 has the 4.00" bore (the same block) and a 3.50" stroke.
Thanks bear45/70
But i am trying to find out why it is a 352 when the 351 has the same bore and stroke. Is it because it's in the fe family?
Because when the 352 came out all the manufactures rounded the CID of engines up to the next number. Many years later the 351 comes along and since they already had a 352 they went with 351.
