power steering issues
when i took the 360 out of the 70 f-250 and put it into my 67 250 i also put the power steering in and converted from manual, when i first got the engine running the power steering worked awesome no problems at all, the new motors got about 6000 miles on it and the power steering just doesnt even work anymore it has fluid belt doesnt slip or anything but its harder to turn now then it was with manual steering, it holds fluid, doesnt really leak unless i overfill do you think its my gear or pump? is there any aftermarket parts out there? or is this fixable? let me know thanks

Jack the front of the truck up, put it on jack stands, and turn the steering wheel lock to lock without the engine running with an assistant. Listen for anything grinding or popping. If you don't hear anything start the truck and try it again. Just be sure to be clear of the truck when you start it up. This whole process will help eliminate the pump or the steering gearbox. If there is no difference in turning the wheel then look towards the steering gear box or the pivot points of your system.
