PSOM/odometer issue

Replaced my PSOM and then tried to replace the odometer so I could have the original miles on myBronco. Switched the odometer and ribbon cable and when I put it back in truck, both the speedo and odometer don't work. Plus truck shifts hard. Any ideas? If you change the odometer does that ruin the PSOM. Thanks for any suggestions.

why did you do this?sounds like something isnt hooked up properly

I wanted to get my "old" odometer back in the module since it showed actual miles, which were less than the junkyard module I put in.

you know tampering with that is illegal right.

your mlp solenoid may be bad as well. also check the plug on the rear diff. it talks to the ecu and tranny.

This is about putting my original odometer back in the computer board so it reflects actual miles. The one from the junkyard shows 250K where my truck only has 141K. I am not sure if you can transfer these odometers though.
