PSOM Troubleshooting?
I need help again. When I got in my Bronco this morning, the first thing I noticed was that it was shifting hard. The 2nd thing was that my speedometer & digital odometer was dead. Swapping out the fuse did not help, so I thought I'd pull the instrument panel & see if the connection to the PSOM was loose. It wasn't. Is there any way to further troubleshoot this thing? It was working fine the other day. If not, any ideas on what a replacement would cost? Any help will be appreciated. Thanks.

the only way to properly check the psom is to bring it in to the cheapest shop in town and have them put it on the computer that way you can pin point the problem and it probably the least frusting or you could be placing thing till your blue in the face. that the great part about cpu.

PSOM Troubleshooting?
All you have to do is test the terminals of the PSOM connector for the appropriate voltage or signal. The Haynes manual diagrams will show which should be 12V, ground, switched, or carry the speed signal from the RABS sensor. All you need is a multimeter, a Haynes, and a little time.
