aftermarked speedo
I was just wondering if anyone here is running an aftermarked speedometer? If so what sender are you running it from? the VSS? i need a new cluster but i really don't feel like spending that much money for one when everything else is working, and i can get some aftermarket ones off ebay.

I have a handheld GPS unit. but It is a little behind actual speed in real time, by around 3-5 seconds. I located a gauge cluster But i want to pull mine to check it out for obvious things before i buy one. It's been too hot today to feel like tearing down my dash, probably my least favorite thing to do next to drum brakes. lol

I looked at PSDshop a while back because i like the look of the newer clusters and if i had the right part, they only want $2XX for the cluster. I probably had the wrong number but it was the most expensive part they listed.

there are a few on ebay for 133 shiped. But i work with a guy who is outstanding with electronics and i wan't to have him look it at it first to see if it just died or somthing caused it to stop working. I'm more afraid of installing a working cluster,and having it stop because of somthing wrong with the wiring. Since i have found a few random wires up under the dash that are cut off.
