The plastic over my guages is all foggy an you can't see the guages too well. how do I remove it so i can clean it i have it out, i just need to figure out how to remove the tabs holding the plastic in place without breaking them any ideas?
Remove the cluster and remove the white plastic back (screws). disengage the plastic rivets to remove the lens. -At least that is how mine comes apart.
Check the Read First:FAQ thread at the top of the 73-9 forum for more info on how to refresh your gage connections.
If it will not polish out...you can get a replacement lens, or by a used cluster on ebay that has a clear lens...they have those guages cluster on there by the dozens, usually some goods ones in there, or at least clear lenses. One real good looking one on there now for starting bid of 4.99
Used clusters like from western Canada always seem to be yellow/fog free. Probably from lack of intense sunlight and humidity.
You can try toothpaste as a polish on both sides of the lens. Try the front first, as this may be the side that needs the polish most. That way you may need not waste time removing lens.
