yes ford and rmp trans's come with converters, the ford is a little better than rmp but they are both hit or miss depending on what day of the week it was overhauled...lol

shift kit and change the fluid no more than 30k intervals, i personally go for 15k intervals, change it while its clean not once its dirty

How much do the shift kits usually cost with install (I am not a tranny guy). Do you think a cooler is needed if I don't pull that often? By the way I run synthetic.

i dont personally care for synthetic, some swear by it, check my post for a free shift kit, it works great, i am goin to try to get a video of my trucks shifts tomarrow and see how it looks once uploaded to my comp
the more colling capacity the better, best thing in my opinion is run the gauge and go from there
