I've been noticing a few drops of a slippery green fluid where my wife parks her Buick Rendezvous. It's not antifreeze because it used the dexcool which is redish orange. Any ideas what it could be?
A possiblility is maybe it is some Air Conditioner fluid. Some of the lubricants on the older systems were green and sticky/slippery. Maybe the new 134 freon has the same stuf??
Usually I look at the fittings and around the compressor for leaks. They can inject a flourescent dye to make sure. Often the leaking coolant will spray up onto the inside of the hood above the compressor if that is leaking.
sounds odd but did ya smell it ?? that can tell you what it is. i got an 02 vous and I dont know of any fluids that color. unless it has the green coolant and the intake is leaking
I had it checked out and it's a leak in the AC condensder. $$$
Yup the second weak spot on the Vous. The most common problems the Vous has is the front wheel bearings, ac condenser, BCM, intake gasket, most of those fail by 60K. i lucked out my condenser went before i test drove the car so they replaced it before i bought it. apparent,y they have weak welds and they put a 4th bolt that rubs a hole in it. www.aztekfanclub is an aztek site but alot of the info they have relates to the Vous as well its my second home LOL. heres a pic of my Vous I also have the GM DVD so if you need any repair info let me know.
