Changing brakes.

I know that this is a stupid question but I was trying to change the brakes on my truck this weekend and I could not get the pads off. On any other veihicle I just take the 2 bolts out and pull the brakepad assembly off and take out the old pads, then push the calapers back in with a C clamp then new pads in and I am off. I could not get the part that hold the brakepads to come off for some reason, the 2 bolts came out but something was holding on. I am starting to feel stupid, what am i missing?

yeah, i am going to do my brakes on Thursday. Rotors, pads, wheel bearings and caliper kits will go in. Gonna cost ~$500 total. Heavy duty Wagner rotors and pads.

The pads should slide out once you get the caliper off. They may be a little frozen on due to corrosion though. The pads are only held in by some springs and clips. Check here for some photos and instructions: http://guzzle.rbmicro.com/pshawk.html
