A slight boom and a huge puff of smoke!

I pulled over to talk to a guy about a horse, I get back in, get back on the road, full throttle with the radio on. I get up to about 35 to 40 mph and hear a noise that sounds like a turbo stall, I look in the miror a big cloud of black smoke.... I couldn't get to do it again... does anyone have a clue?

auto tranny shifted while still in the throttle. Black smoke, and I couldn't duplicate the problem...

Edit: I'll get my blackstone report on here... I allready know it's poor by the way...

"PAUL: 7,500 miles may be too many for your PSD. Wear generally increased in this sample with lead causing the most concern. It comes from the bearings while aluminum is from the pistons. We had thought lead would improve in this sample but that wasn't the case. We suggest cutting the oil runs back to ~5K miles until wear improves. The low viscosity isn't a problem. The TBN read 9.1, still lots of active additive left. Silicon and insolubles read normally showing good air and oil filtration. Shorter oil runs won't fix a problem but they should keep wear to a minimum."

Aluminum: 4
Iron:31
Lead: 15
