I have an '02 Ranger FX4 (4L 5spd man, pretty much stock thus far) and have recently acquired a used superchip from a friend. The question I have is...
What would the gains be of putting this on a manual Ranger? I know there are a few more gains for an automatic (shift points, etc.), so should I be a good sibling and hand it off to my brother with his 02 Explorer Auto.
Would it make a dramatic difference on my truck???
Thanks,
Steve
Future plans: aftermarket intake, exhaust, and headers in mid 2003.

15HP and 22ft/lb torque.

Superchargers make dramatic differences, chips on turbo/super-charged vehicles make dramatic differences. Chips on standard gas engines make a good, noticable and usable increase but don't expect it to act like a V8! :-)
