After looking at the performance gains of the Superchip, I do have a question on the effects of installing the chip after I do my modification. What sort of gains can I expect after I have the chip programmed for (Doug Thorley's headers, K&N FIPK, and Magna Flow exhaust)?
For a stock 460 motor, the gain was about a 10% (25HP and 45 Torque). After the installation of my mods, would I see a 10% increase in HP/TQ based on the higher HP and Torque now my motor makes? Or, would I still see just 25HP/45 torque gain?
There's a law dimishing returns. Adding two items that give a 10% increase each will result in less than 20% when combined. You'll see more than the standard amount of increase from the chip as you increase the base line horse power but don't count on a consistant gain.
