I have an F-350 Super Duty V10 Auto with 4.30 gears. Just got the Superchips 1715 controller. Would appreciate feedback from anyone who has used this controller with the Banks PowerPack. Towing 14,000 lb. Alfa Sun fifth wheel. Any comments appreciated! Thanks--Steve
Hi 5wheel and welcome to FTE! YOu might wish to post your question in the Superduty/Heavy Duty forum that meets your truck specs or in the Computer Chips and Tuners forum, where you will get a much better response than up here in Introductions.

I have used the 1715 with my v10, however I have never heard of stacking "it" with the Banks. Try posting this question over in the SD section as Dick suggested.
Are you talking about the basic Power Pack (just headers, y-pipe, exhaust, air filter and intake) or with the optional OttoMind? The OttoMind alters the fuel curve to take advantage of the improved air and exhaust flow. I don't know if it changes any of the transmission tuning.
In my opinion, the basic Power Pack would enhance the performance of the SuperChips 1715 and the transmission programming takes advantage of this increased power. I don't think I'd "stack" it on top of the OttoMind.
BTW, I really like the SuperChips 1704 which I bought for my truck with the 6.0 PSD and am considering the 1715 for my other truck with the V10.
Didn't plan on using the Banks OttoMind (a single stage non-progammable chip) or the Banks TransCommand with the PowerPack -- Would like to use the SuperChips 1715 for multi stage computer control and tranny control . Thanks/ 5wheel
i just got my banks ottomind yesterday and installed it this morning
problem .... Hard starting !!!! truck will tend to turn over and over and catch on the 3rd time you turn the key once running its fine
any suggestions ??? maybe i didnt get all the silicone off the board ??? im not sure but has anyone else had this problem
cant call Banks till monday and think i should remove it till then i got no check engine lights on the dash and like i said once it starts it seems to run a-okay
BTW im running the powerpack system in a 01 F250 V10
I have the Banks powerpack without the ottomind and a SCMT 1715 instead. I have been VERY happy with it. I don't do alot of towing so I am using the performance setting that is not towing compatible. There is a noticable gain in engine pep and HP & TQ. The MOST BENEFICIAL gain has been the tranny. I left it in the superchips default setting. When you drive like a grandpa, the tranny shifts very similar to stock with just a tad more crisp. The harder to drive it the harder and firm the shifts are. If you get close to red line and then it shifts well....hold on it shift VERY VERY hard. The first time it did it it scared the crap out of me. It did raise all the shift points. Those are user adjustable also. The down shifts are the same as stock and are not adjustable.
It is a breeze to install. Took longer to pull the fuel pump fuse and pull the amplifier fuse that it did to install the tune. I would recommend it. I tow and haul alot with my work DRW V10 and I can see the HUGE difference it has made. When compared to the stock (work) V10 and mine. I wish I could tune them both at the same time just to see. I have to bet that it would help imensly.
