Fuel filter change question.

Fuel filter change question.

Feeling pretty stupid, went to change the fuel filter today - quick 5-10 min, removed the cover, going good so far just need to pull the filter out off the cover and slap the new one in right? The filter will not come off the cover, when I look inside the filter it looks like there is a four tabbed clip of some type holding it on, is this some kind of aftermarket cover or what? Really frustrated that something this simple can turn into a PIA. Thanks for any input.

Some fuel filters come with an integrated cap. You probably got one of those. The oem is a two piece cap and filter that separate.

you got the one piece filter and cap on there..you need to get another one like that or get a new fuel cover...dont get a cover from napa..alot of leaking problems from others on here..get one from ford..
