I am Considering an axle swap to full-width dana 60s from an f-350. What i need to know is how wide the stock bronco axles are, so I can determine if I really want to commit to this...especially realizing the custom work involved. I would measure myself, but I don't have immediate access to my bronco at the moment. Thanks.
Yeah the link doesn't work for me either but anyway this is what I have heard about doing that swap because I am considering the same thing. I heard that you will have to use a D60 off a 1979 or earlier F350 because after that the diff is placed to far from the center so there is no way to fabricate any kind of spring perch.
somebody correct me if I am wrong
Most folks look for the axles from a '79 F250 4wd to use for this conversion. I'm sure others will work, but I know this to be the magic number. Along with these axles most folks use Hummer wheels. They are cheap and they offset the wheel back torwards the inside, keeping an almost factory tread spacing. Rocks beware!!!!!
