OK I'm thinking of putting a 4" elect exhaust cut out on my truck. ( Just for fun)I'm thinking about where the down pipe meets the straight run of the exhaust. Do you think this mod would cause any problems or flash codes? Thanks for the input Alan
CSI, Is yours an elect cut out ?Do you recall who made yours? As far as it being illegal . This is true, but you got to have some fun sometime. Why do we put tuners and all the other mods on?Part need part fun. Thanks for your input.
CSI, I have seen a 4" elect cut out kit on e-bay in S.S with y pipe for 250. I think Jegs has them too. Looks like all I would need is a S.S band clamp or two. Do you have a turn down pipe on yours? Have you seen much change with your water inj ? I have been thinking about a Snow kit, but 750 is a chunk of dough.
I think it sounds funny with a 4' long exhaust system. I ran the exhaust to a flex-pipe turndown behind the trans crossmember while i was waiting for my stacks, and it sounded funny. The turbine whistle was insanely awesome, however it had no throatiness like a normal longer system would. Plus it makes everything from that point rearward black, and if you are getting on it, you have an exhaust pipe hanging out of the back of your truck with nothing coming out of it.
