Won't start, theft light 16 flash code
Engine spins but wont start, noticed theft light was blinking rapidly then throwing 16 flash code, also the odometer was reading -------, earlier today I was working on the pigtail for trailer lights and found the fuse blown in engine compartment fuse box, never removed any other fuses or relays, hooked my scan tool to see if PCM had any codes and it wouldnt communicate with PCM, switched PCM relay with fuel pump relay but theft light was still the same, checked all fuses for PCM and PATS and all were ok, tried to start with both keys also but that did't work either, any other ideas, I really dont want to have to drag it to the dealer but im running out of ideas, what do you guys think??

Must be my night. Do a search for my handle and read the whole post. Fixed mine, and the parts were about $16.00. Relays are in the under hood fuse box. hope this helps. I got the answer from someone on the board. HomerWinslow is his handle. Hope this helps.
Check to see if you have a PCM power relay. If you do swap it with another relay in the box of the same type, preferrably to something that isnt used all the time like a wiper relay. Ive seen this pattern on vehicles that lose PCM power relay at startup causing theft lamp to flash and dashes at the odometer.
