2001 F-150 won't start (anti theft related)
My 2001 f150 is not starting up. The anti theft light flashes and then eventually slows down and flashes one time, pauses and then flashes two more times. The odometer still shows my mileage as I know some people with this issue just get dashes. I know there are passive anti theft codes that can indicate what is wrong but cant find a chart with any info for all the codes. I'm going to assume my pats transceiver module is shot. Or maybe the key simply needs to be reprogrammed? I've seen people say that before. Just hoping it doesn't cost an arm and a leg. I checked fuses, relays, etc and didn't see any that were blown. anyone have any ideas on what could be causing it? Or maybe there's a relay I forgot to check out. Just seeing what all possible help I could get on the issue. Thank you, I'm just lost on this

I've already done that. That's the reason I put that my anti theft light continues to flash once, pause and then flash two times. I doubt it's a bad key as the spare does it as well. I'm guessing my pat module is shot. Getting a new one is cheap and easy. But then I'll need it reprogrammed to work with my existing keys. Does only ford do this? Or is there somewhere else that can do a pat relearn?

Ford does not document the lamp flash codes in their North American service documentation although they do in their UK service docs. In those, an LFC 12 indicates a problem with the transceiver. Whether this is the same as for yours is unknown.
Put the cluster into HEC Dealer Test Mode (Google it) and pull the DTCs. PATS-related codes are generally in the B16xx range. Report your results.
The '01 F150 does not have a "PATS module". You have the PCM and instrument cluster, a transceiver mounted around the ignition cylinder, and your keys. Only the transceiver can be replaced without reprogramming of the system.
