Here's onw for everyone. I'm driving down the road and all of a sudden I look down and my Odometer/Compass display is flashing on and off ( nothing sequential) and every time I take off from a stop my door locks lock again. I put the cluster in test more and I get a DTC 0f D950, and D900. I can't find anything like those around in my books. Any advice? Its still under warranty so I'll prob bring it to dealer, but just curious in the meantime

Yes they do. Its almost like toggleing a switch on and off, on and off, on and off. I'm not sure those codes that come out of the instrument cluster are valid codes, as, the start with a D, which I have never seen before.
There's a list of fault codes some where on the site. It may even be posted in a thread.
I'm wondering if the codes are "ford only". Please let us know what the fix is. I guess the auto lock is activiated by forward movement instead of speed.
Funny thing is, we went out tonight for dinner and it didn't seem to do it as much. When it was doing it before, like I said, Weh you take off from a stop, I have it set to automatically lock the doors. But it does it EVERY time you take off from a stop, not just the first time. I wonder if the GEM module is bad or something.
The code list in at the top under "Articles" then select decoders. It list a variety of codes, yet I didn't see anything that started with a "D". Good luck
I had somethig like this happen yesterday. I closed the drivers side door and pull into the street, the auto locks locked the doors. I notice the door was not shut all the way. I open the door while driving and closed it all the way.
THe next time I stopped, at a stop sign, and pulled away, the auto locks locked the doors again.
A no time did my ODO/Compass flash and I have no error codes.
96F150,
Do your dome lights work normally? On/Off with the doors open/closed, and with the "fade out" on close? I'm wondering if you have a couple of missing inputs. One of them being the doorlight switch. Try turning off the auto lock system, go for a drive and see what happens. Then try enabling it and see what it does. Maybe it will solve some of the problem you're seeing.

Did you ever find out what this code was?? I am experiencing a D950, D9360, and a D9318. I think the 9318 is a low battery voltage which makes sense because I left satellite radio and GPS on for nearly two days while camping. Battery neer died, but it may have dropped voltage. The other two I have no idea.
My fuse box had a failure about 3 months after purchasing my truck, caused the climate control and several other electronic devices to turn on and off like you're describing. I didn't waste any time i knew something was wrong, dropped it at the dealer on the way to work and they had a new fuse box installed by the next day, all via warranty. Tech said their was a short in the fuse box - I imagine that different electrical systems would be effected if the short had been in a different location in the fuse box.
All fixed now. The dealer had to order a new HEC cluster (aka dash cluster) and all is well now. Literally took him a half hour to pull ould out and install new one.
