I'd run over the Landlords bushes, shrubbery or turf, just in case, when you get it back up & running, and send the Boyfriend or his parents a bill for the new radiator with a note saying you won't press charges if they pay up. . . . .
May not work, but WTH you'll get rid of some of the frustration & anger.
