Looking for an OEM Stereo Unit
Looking for the following model #:
3C7T-18C815-AA
If anybody has one, or know where to get one, please let me know.
I already checked eBay, but could not find an exact match to model. Also contacted two online stores... hope to hear back from them.

I found (almost) a match... anybody knows what the difference is in the last two digits of the model number? I have an "AA", but there's also an "AC" - rest of the model number is the same (3C7T-18C815-**)
I originally had ordered from ebay and gotten the 4c7t-18c815-aa, but the darn unit was broken. Sent it back.
I ended up ordering a new 4C3T-18C815-AA from Radios and More. I had called them prior to the purchase, and verified the capabilities of this particular model. I paid a premium price for it, but it is new with warranty, and does everything I desired.
I do not have the factory DVD unit, and you should call them to see what ones will work with it. I think the one that I purchased was the only one that could do either DVD or external changer, but not both at the same time. That is why it worked with the PIE interface directly. My memory is going out on me anymore, and I can't remember all the details, but call them anyway.
I also urge you to look and carefully study the following document. It is invaluable when trying to find the right unit. download it and save it to your hard disk.

By the way, the VCP notation you will see on the document is for Video cassette player. only early model radios are programmed to work with the VCP.

Thanks for your reply... yes, mine came with the factory DVD system installed. I spoke to a guy from replacementradios.com today. Apparently the "AA" has something to do with the rear control for the outputs (audio and video). So I guess I NEED the "AA" model in order for everything to work properly.
He can get me one (not new, but refurbished and with warranty) for $ 259.
Definately better than paying $ 800+ at the dealership!

Holy smokes! That document looks like the replacement parts list for the entire truck! LOL ... Thanks a lot for all your input as well. It was really helpful. I also stopped by a local radio guy, and he says that sure you can replace the radio with an aftermarket one, but not ALL functions will remain.
So like I said, I'll stick with the factory model, I guess.
Still planning to add an amp with a smaller sub... I'm not even sure that the truck has currently an amp... at least I never found one yet.
Thanks again guys!

My Ex Does Not Have Dvd Option, But You Can Check With Ford And See If The 2005 6 Disk Player Will Work And We Can Work Something Out. Removed The Stero To Install A Nav/sat System.

I finally found the correct model (or almost)... it is actually the newer model from the '06.
The first number 3 is for the model year, so instead of getting a
3C7T-18C815-AA, I now have a 6C7T-18C815-AA.
Perfect match to the OEM! Works with all components as desired... so I finally can listen to CD's again.
I ordered it from Radios and More (radiosandmore.com). It was a NEW unit, with a full year of warranty (not overhauled or refurbished) and costed me $ 475 incl. S&H.
The guy I talked to was very knowledgeable and the shipment arrived sooner than I thought. Great experience!
Again, thanks to everybody!
