V-10 Y pipe

Does anyone recommend a V-10 Y pipe and where I could get one?

Thanks, Bryan

Monsta, don't you have an aftermarket y pipe? Did it do anything, and does it have heat shields that could rattle?

The guy on Ebay has nothing but positive feedback and he has sold hundreds of the same Y pipe so it can't be too bad. You would think that someone who didn't like it would post a negative feedback.

I went ahead and ordered one. I will post how it looks and helps after I get it on next week. As long and it doesn't hurt my performance and mileage, I am willing to try it.

I got the Y pipe installed yesterday and..........today I installed a new Factory Y pipe. The constuction on the Y pipe was great and it installed easily. The only problem was that it sounded like crap on my setup. I guess that with the Banks stinger system AND the Flowmast high flow CAT there was too much flow and it sounded like a Rice Burner on Steroids during acceleration.

Oh well.

Does anyone want to make an offer on a full Y pipe with not restrictors? I cheated and replaced one O2 sensor since I could not get it out but it is still good. Just PM me.

I have the Stan's on my truck with pics in my gallery. The new noise you heard is probably a flutter noise that comes with changing out the factory"Y". I know of know one that makes a direct bolt on replacement y-pipe.

Do you have any other exhaust mods becuase I think it just from not having ANY backpressure. I think the stock CAT provides the needed back pressure which my flowmast CAT does not. i don't know for sure but now that I have the new factory pipe in place the truck growled like before and has awesome HP. WHile pulling the trailer with the Y pipe on and no backpressure it seemed weaker. That might be just me though, I just know that I could not have lived with that flutter noise with as many miles as I drive.

No I have no other exhaust mods, and yes that flutter noise can be very annoying. I may go with headers in the future to get rid of it.

I dropped the seller on eBaY a question about how it would affect the noise emitting from my engine and exhaust.

He never answered back.... so I backed off buying one.
