Hey guys, I just mounted a coolant filter with no instructions on how to connect the lines. Which lines do I connect inlet and outlet lines to so that the flow is correct to the filter? Can I tee into the heater core lines or what? Thanks!
The inlet side of the filter is the outside. The outlet is through the center hole. The filter flows from outside, in.
There's a pipe plug on the water pump housing for the pressure to the filter, and most of us "T" into a hose that reurns to the de-gas "bottle" (plastic tank).
Look in my gallery for some photos of how I did mine. No matter where you mount your filter, you'll likely want to get your supply and return lines attached like this.
