Well its time to start looking for some new tires and i am still unsure about what to go with. BFG all terrain KO's or Toyo open country A/T. i have had 2 sets of the BFG's and had good luck with them, they did well in the snow and decent off road traction. so what is everyones opionion of the Toyo's. good bad or ??
i have used the bfg all terrain, toyo open country, and pirelli scorpion. i have found ride, handling, wet traction, and snow traction to be the best with the toyo open country.
i used size 295/75/16
I have toyo open country 35x12.50 on my 250 and I will never put them on another vehicle. I know that 35's are supposedly harder to keep balanced but the my toyo's seem to go outta balance every week. Luck for me I have lifetime balance. I have bfg's on my f150 and love em. My .02 worth is bgf t/a k/o's
I'm running 316/75/16 BFG AT's and I love them.......BUT......I get bored every couple years and change it up just because of boredom. Last time I went to Trxus ATS 35's and regret it BIG TIME. I am once again thinking of changing again from BFG's not because I'm not happy with the tire, only because I like to change every now an then. I think I'm going with Cooper STT's next time. I haven't heard many good things about the Toyo AT's, but GREAT things about the MT's from Toyo. For the money, BFG's are probably your best choice and best "all around" wheeling tire, just don't venture too deep into the mud with All Terrains!!!! (I speak from experience) haha
I just bought Toyo's for my F-250, so far so good. The test will be when the snow flies. Have had BFG's on my patrol rig and they are good tires but not that good in the snow, which is important up here on the mountain.
ProComp Xtreme AT's...just love em'...They're made by Cooper Tires for ProComp, I believe. You can get the specs at most 4WD places...or your local independent tire dealer can probably get them...they advertise a 40K mile warranty, what ever that is supposed to mean...

What type of terrain have you tried these tires on? I'm curious about them for a summer/highway tire that still has a bit of traction.
If I was doing it all again I would have taken a longer look at the Pro-Comps. But I went with the BFG's and I am very happy with them. They are not standouts in any catagory, but perform well all around and are nice on the highway where the truck spends most of it's time.
thanks for all the info, i think i will go with the BGF's, i can get them cheaper at discount tire than the toyos at belle tire. at belle tire the BFG's were around $40 more per tire, plus mounting and balancing, and an 10% of the cost of the tire for life time rotating and balancing. at discount its all included.
