I see. Well you could look in your manual and pull the fuse for the computer which will be located in the fuse block under the hood. Also look for a computer memory fuse. Pull it and leave it out for about 15 or 20 minutes, that should reset it.
I explained why it would cause hard shifting earlier. If the MLPS shorts out and tells the PCM (Powertrain control module) that you shifted it into nuetral, but really the transmission is still in drive, the PCM will lower the pressure from the pump which will disengage clutches inside the transmission and cause it to slip. Since the transmission knows that it is in drive, but doesn't know that the MLPS is telling the PCM otherwise, the transmission will think it's slipping and will tell the PCM to raise the pressure from the pump to maximum levels, causing a hard shift, to minimize any slippage.
