Winches

Ok.. Need some help.. What should I get?

M9000 or M12000?

If you could get either but wanted to save a few bucks.. Would the M9000 handle most things? Really only reason I'd want a winch is recovery of myself or someone..

Yeah, the 9000 is not enough for a superduty. I have a M1200 and it handles the work I give it, but the M1500 is better suited to the Superduty.

Warn recommends 1.5x the vehicle gross weight, I think. Anyway 8000lbs trucks should have 12000lbs or better.

Yeah I got to thinking about that.. Biggest concern was my front end replacement.. At first every site was saying M9000 was the biggest.. Then I called ARB and asked them.. They said folks get retarded and assume all their bumpers only take M9000 or lower.. He said it depends on the vehicle.. The bumper for the SD due to size can take up to M15000 and they are in the processes of redesign to fit the 16.5TI in there..

M15k should be plenty to do any SERIOUS pulling.. Plus I got a helluva deal on the thing too.. 1300 bucks for it plus free shipping with my Frontend Replacement Looking at $2400 for the entire set..
