Most of all the switches (Windows, locks, etc.) are sealed and bulbs cannot be easily replaced, although I have broken the seals and replaced the incandescent bulbs with LEDs, but since they are already soldered in place, you would have to solder the LEDs also.
That being said, any 5 or 3 mm LED would work based on how much room you have.
Keep in mind blue LEDS have a high-flux output, they can be very bright.
Also, some sort of resistor is needed as I am sure you know.
I have done some dash conversions and HVAC controls, and a few switches on various vehicles, and the result is nice, but time consuming to get it right.
yeah i thought i remembered reading something a while back but i could not find it. Also i took electronics for 4 years so the soldering doesnt bother me i just didnt want to order a bunch of led's that were the wrong size. The window switches have incandesent bulbs in them i thought that they were green led's from the factory the instrument cluster on mine has green led's in it.
