I have a 99 E 350 MH with the V-10, only has 28,000 miles on it.
The thing has been flawless so far and all I have done to it so far are minor services. I really love this motor and I am concerned that I might be overlooking something as far as servicing goes. Like is there anything that needs to be attended to based on the fact that its eight years old, even though the milage is low?
Maybe some of the emission hoses. The PVC hose may be getting old. You can inspect for dry-rotting and such. That's the only thing I can think of as afar as the engine goes.
However, brake fluid absorbs water over time. You may want to consider changing the brake fluid.
8 years without removing them? Go buy a Timesert kit BEFORE you start taking them out - you're probably gonna need it.
Just kidding
Mostly...
I'd do all the things you should be doing at 100K miles. Figure like oil changes, 3 months or 3 thousand miles.
So, 8 years, 8*12 months = 96 months, or 96 thousand miles. So it's time for the 100K service.
Fuel filter, definitely, since those get clogged at less than 20K miles. Clean the MAF, check all the hoses, change the belt (if it's not already squeeking), etc. etc.
