Gas in Bethel,Alaska $4.95. Diesil is $4.38 gal. In some villages it close to $7.00 and in
one village it's $11.83 a gal. We will gladly pay $3.00 a gal here.
We're all brainwashed now thinking that $2.79 a gallon for Diesel is a good price haha. I remember the "good ol' days" of $1.39 a gallon not that long ago. Supply and demand will keep prices up long after the war unfortunately, we are our own worst enemies. I'm right in with everybody else driving a big lifted truck, just gets old watching the prices skyrocket! UGH
The BP refinery in Whiting Indiana just outside of chicago is having some serious problems with equipment and they are really afraid of the midwest running out of gas. This is coming from a guy that works at the plant. This is why we are seeing extraordinarilly high prices near chicago now.
My excursion has been parked for a couple weeks now. 30MPG in my 99 camaro SS for now.
What i want to know is where is bush in all of this? This is quickly turning into a national crisis if it isnt already. The companies are seemingly purposely letting equipment fail and not fixing them im a timely manner as they are posting higher and higher profits. Exxon just coming of posting record profits that are just mind blowing. You know bush will not do anything to hurt big oil though,m he would be shooting himself in the foot. He is gonna run this country as hard into the ground as he can and make every dollar he can off of us before he is finally pulled out of office. Worst president in this countries history BY FAR!
Lets not Forget that "big oil" is in every politicians pocket ALL OF THEM. Its up to us to stop it by not driving as much or simply boycotting one oil company and only shopping one. diesel here in central cali is 2.99 and gas is 3.59
