ok I'm picking up a new cps tomorrow-from what I've read I think that's the most likely suspect. How do I unplug the ebpv valve?
A couple days ago it started missing and smoking and wouldn't get over 2000rpm. shut it down as it worsened. started right back up and ran great untill I put my foot down. truck ran great yesterday. This morning it gave me grief all the way in to work. Replaced the fuel filter this morning too.
'96 200000 mi. clean oil, recent fpr mod,-80psi there.
There is a actuator assembly under the exhaust housing of your turbinator, twist the end of the actuator and push toward the compressor housing, might have to pull down a little to get ti to release the ball on the EBPV. thus is disconnected.
thanks steve I unplugged the little 2 pin connector under the turbo and it seems to be running a little better right now. I gotta keep my fingers crossed-If my daughter gets another tardy at school she gets suspended.---9,999 times NOT MY TRUCKS FAULT,1 time-well she got there. I'm still picking up a new CPS tomorrow anyway.
