Hello Forum Folks, Joined the site to seek advice on stuff that used to be fairly simple, such as changing spark plugs and fuel filters. I have never minded paying a quality mechanic for the harder stuff but prefer to do the easier stuff myself. Since this is a "intro" section, here is a few specs about myself:
*Forty-four year old male. *Married for 17 years and we have three children (another reason to save money). *Active Duty in the Navy: Chaplain currently working with the USMC at Camp Lejeune. *I have owned four Ford trucks: A 1959 F100, a 1986 Ranger, my favorite 1989 F150 (300 six-cylinder), and a 2002 F150 Crew Cab (my current truck.) *I like the posts that have pictures in the text.
If anyone lives in the Camp Lejuene area, please send me a message.
The best way to find other enthusiasts near you is to go to your state chapter forum. The same tab that takes you to the tech forums will also display the state/regional chapters. North Carolina has a chapter and here's the link: https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/forum88/
It's great to have you here and Thank You for your service.
