New Member with a old truck...

Hi my name is Steven, and I bought an old Ford pick-upagainst my wife's better judgment.

I have always loved the body-style of the 7th generationFord pick-ups

So a month ago, I made a Craigslist purchase of an 1980F-250....it met all my criteria:

An abundance of rust - Check!
Leaks every fluid known to man - Check!
Parts missing, modified and swapped - Check!
A long list mechanical sounds forecasting future catastrophicfailures - Check!

I'm at best, a shade tree mechanic, so this should be anadventure.

Welcome to FTE!

You'll find some knowledgeable and friendly folks here, very willing to help with advice and experience. For example a 5' length of 3/8" plywood under the cushions makes the couch a lot more comfortable for sleeping.
