Just buckle a few dead hookers into the passenger side seats...

Hey...stop taking shortcuts!! Take those out immediately to see if they are the problem. If they are....leave them out so the truck sits level.

1: I'd rather have a few live hookers. Then I wouldn't notice or care about which way the truck sits.

Monsta: OK. Steering column isn't very useful in the long run, is it?

A 4x4 under the body to the rear end housing should level it out.

On another forum this concept was discussed and one solution that was employed was to use a code v spring on the left front and a code U on the right front. (V10Ex) It was also felt that such a comensation may have been built in during manufacture. Another weight more often concentrated on the left is the driver. In this case some might add more than others.

That's right Ben! I say anyone who has an unlevel truck and is on the upper scale of personal weight should pilot their truck from the RIGHT side. See your local USPS Letter Carrier for details on making a right-hand driver. They should remove the spare tire also since they already carry one with them on their body.

We just can't have unlevel/uneven Excursions running around!! What will others think of us?! Isn't it bad enough Excursions are getting stuck in 6 inches of sand and have to be pulled out by a girl in a stock, mid-size pickup truck!?!?! Oh...the horror.

Knock it off. My USPS lady is quite a looker. If she is carrying a spare tire around on her person, I'd go looking for it for her.

Maybe the guy was doing it as a conversation thing. Oh, you pulled me out of the sand and I promise to pull out when.......

I wasn't talking about USPS folks having a "spare tire", I was talking about any Excursion owner who might. I know I do...a Dunlop...it "dun lapped" over ma belt.

This may sound stupid but are the tires aired equally and is the tread the same depth ?

Yes but it doesn't matter what they are doing. I measured the distance from the spring to the frame

One other simple thing that can get overlooked: did you wait until the truck was resting on the tires on the ground before torquing the spring-eye bolts? If you tighten them when the springs are drooped instead of sitting at ride-height, you can pre-load the bushings and give an uneven ride-height. That can also prematurely wear out the spring-eye bushings.

Didn't think of that but I can loosen them and re-torque. The weird thing is this. I had a set of front sway bar bushings from the donor truck. Didn't think much about them but just for the hell of it, installed them. I found that the lengths were different. I installed the right side and when I went to the left, I had to jack up the end of the left sway bar to get the bolt on. Now it seems more even. Go figure.
