Lightbulb lift blocks

I just installed my 8" superlift system w/ rear springs a while back, and am very satisfied. However i plan, i guess within a year, to add a 4 inch hanger up front.. but will need to lift the rear 4" too. I already have replacement springs, and the stock 3.5" block. Could i put another 4" block on top of that, or is stacking two blocks dangerous...mostly street driving. If so, is there anyone who sells 7 or 8 inch blocks to use in place of two? thanks yall

Stacking blocks isn't the best.......and 7-8" of block or blocks is kind of lot IMO....places more leverage on the u-bolts.

If it were me I'd get a 10"-12" set of springs made for the rear and run a small block to give it the rake you want....I'm not a fan of anything bigger than a 4-5" single block.

Biggest block I have seen is 5.5" Tuff Country......but I haven't really looked for blocks.

Just my $.02

Hope this helps.

You can get 10-12" rear springs from companies like National Spring (1-619-441-1901) or Atlas Spring (1-626-333-7373)...........I'm pretty sure Deaver won't make them.

I'm not to sure if I would pay the extra $$ for the Nationals right now......since their main spring engineer (I think that was his title) left I have been hearing of quality control issues with their springs.

Atlas springs are a little bit stiffer than Nationals but still ride pretty good considering the size spring that it is.
I'm pretty sure you can get the pair of 12" rear springs from Atlas for $650-700.
MrRottnDog has 12" Atlas springs on the rear of his X and I think that jetjock16 might have also ordered a set. Also, as far as I know rollnxl is currently running 14" Atlas packs.....he used to run Nationals...........if you wanted to get opinoins of people who have them.

I don't have over 8" (yet) but I would say anything over 8" suspension should have x-over.....you'd also need to run trac bar relocation to avoid bumpsteer. It will reduce the amount of stress on the sector shaft and eliminate the possiblity of the drag link running into the passenger side leaf pack......will make steering a bit easier too.

Hope this helps.

You're looking at about 2 large just to do the front up another 4". Then you have to do the back to match. If what DC says is true about the price of the rear springs it'll be about 27 bills to go 4 more inches. I looked into it and talked with kreg Donahoe and that's the best we could come up with.

That's why mine is staying at 8".

Oh yeah then you get to screw with new drivelines too so figure 3 large for sure.
