Power for stereo

I have a 1986 Bronco II that has never had a stereo. I plan on running the wire for the speakers but don't know where to pull power for the stereo. Any suggestions on the easiest place to tap into?

It had no stereo from the factory whatsoever? So, I take it there is no stereo harness in the dash, either? I think that's the way my '86 Ranger was... had nothing, and the original owner put an aftermarket stereo in. Anyhow, what you can do is tap into one of the switched or always hot empty spots on the fuse block, which is what I did to my Ranger... after "correcting" the tap into the cigarette lighter wiring. If you have two positive leads (one for clock memory, for example), you can tap the memory lead into a constantly hot power source, such as the cigarette lighter circuit, and then the other into a switched source on the fuse block, unless you want your stereo to be able to be turned on without the key being in "run". Hope this helps
