HELP Please. Anyone have stereo wiring plug diagram; 2003 AM/FM CD??
Trying to put an aftermarket stereo in the 2003 6.0 Powerstroke. I've wired everything to the aftermarket plug that matches the Ford stereo plug, as described by the aftermarket stereo manufacturer.
When I hook it up, the truck powers the new stereo in ACC position (turning key backwards on the column), but will not power the stereo in the RUN position.
If I had a diagram that showed the wires and colors of the stock Ford plug, I could probably figure this out. Anyone know where I can get one?
Stock Ford stereo is the AM/FM with 6 disc CD changer.
Thanks, in advance, for your help.

Sean may have one
When I did mine I went to a Stereo Shop and Bought a wire harness that one end plugs to the Stock Plug and the Other end goes to the After Market Stereo Deck
This way No Wires are spliced
SOunds like you need to find a wire that's HOT in Run
If you had a Test Light or DVM you could Probe wires until you found one that's Hot 12volts in Run

I installed a Pioneer in my 03 a couple of weeks ago. I ordered the stereo from crutchfield and they also sent an adapter from the factory plug to fly leads, then you just had to solder the leads together to the radio pig tail. So next time around you do not have a butchered harness.
