Rotella T

Hello all,
I just picked up some Rotella T 15W-40 for my first oil change. The manual I have for my 2002 PSD says to use only API CG-4/SH spec oil.
The Rotella is API CJ-4/SM.
Is that just an updated oil spec?

Yes that is the new oil spec and it's backwards compatible to our engines. You can use it without issues.

Thanks, I thought so but wanted to be sure.

I use the Rotella T synthetic in my VW diesel and have had good luck.
