Pennzoil Platinum Synthetic?

Found a decent sale on the stuff and am wondering if it will be OK for my '02 7.3. It's full synthetic 10W-30 (my winter weight choice) with API service of SM. The manual specs API CG-4/SH. I am thinking SM is better than SH if I remember correctly.

Anybody using the stuff? I was going to go Royal Purple or Rotella syns, but couldn't find them locally and came across this Penn.

Thanks for any input!

Oil ratings: "S" means spark ignition. "C" means compression ignition. If that oil lacks the "C" rating, it's not meant for your $10,000.00 diesel engine.

I'm kinda in the same situation except i already bought the oil. Heres the thing. I bought 5 liters off the and a case. The api rating on the bottles off the shelf is SL/CF. I opened the case and the bottles are the same part# But the rating on the newer bottles is SM. BUT it also says it exceeds SM,SJ,SH,SG/CF and ILSAC GF-4 and JASO WEAR TEST. I figured with the CF rating it would be fine. Its full synthetic. Thought i'd try it for a winter and it was on half price. Should i run an anti-foaming agent with it to be safe? Thanks Lancer
