Exclamation AIS help!

Installing AIS FA-1759 air filter this morning. The air inlet tube is at least 7" longer than stock. Everything else fits fine. Is this the wrong part for an 01' 7.3? Should I just leave it off and put some sort of screen on the housing, or should I cut the thing short. I should not have tried this right before a trip.

It clips up into the filter housing neck about 1.5" and extends threw the front a little further than stock. I thought mine was to long also when I started but it fit in nicely

Just discovered cracking in housing around where just sensor plugs in. Must of cracked it while trying to install it. Would glue or silocone work?

The sensor down low and in back (IAT)? yea a little RTV should fix it nicely.

The restriction sensor on top is post filter so if it is that one make sure it is sealed well before using it.

Yes it is. It's cool to have a place full of people willing to share their 7.3 knowledge. There is a reason people from other "places" seek the FTE 7.3 community for answers. I don't know how many time I've seen "I asked this question at ____ but .........."

Becoming a Supporter is great money spent.
