Transmission help
Today my O/D light started to flash and I had trouble getting it to move in reverse. When I took it to the transmission shop he told me it was the transmission range sensor or the transmission position sensor either way I cannot find a parts listing for either of these. My question is is there maybe another name I should be using or something.. BTW he told me the code was P0707 1997 Ford Ranger 3.0 liter 4r55

Hi darascal,
This seems to be a problem with these rangers. Search 'flashing o/d light' and you will find all sorts of responses to this problem. I haven't seen much of anything from Ford concerning this problem either, like they don't think it's an issue. So much for quality being 'job one'. They deserve their financial misery IMO.
