Duane and Chad came over tonight and pitched in. Duane looked at the tranny that came out of Green. The pump/bell housing bolts were loose. That let the pump come out enough that the pump gasket blew. Duane looked it over and said it didn't look bad at all.
Green has the new tranny in it now. Still a bunch to do. Cross member and new tranny mount, shifters, fill with fluids, dipstick, exhaust and O2 sensors, tranny cooler lines, then gas tank and skid plates, thinking about going ahead and replaceing the fuel pump while we have the tank out.
New fuel pump is in the tank and the tank is up in place. Clint still has a bit of stuff to finish up. Drive shafts, hoses, O2's to hook up, ect....... Should be up and running tonight or tomorrow. Then to the tranny rebuilder for a check.
Wooooooooo hooooooooooooooooooooooooo!
Have ta get my "Happy" dance smiley back. Auto tranny and AC.
Green hit the road yesterday. Has a bit of an exhaust leak. And some trouble shifting. Not sure if it's all the shifter. Need to get it back to the tranny rebuilder next week and let them check it all out.
And I received another issue of 4 wheel drive magazine in it. Green has made another 2 page story cover photo. It's really more of a scenic shot than any thing but in the very center a very small "Green" can be seen.
Well Green is back from the tranny shop after it's checkup and is good. Just need to start getting it ready for Colorado. Need to get it cleaned up. Then figure out what is wrong with the winch. Put the t-case skid plate on. Then start going through everything for the Colorado deal.
I had the new drivers side door pull installed today. Then took it by the exhaust shop and had the exhaust leak fixed. It has a fluid leak from the doubler/t-case and goes up to John this weekend and he'll look at it next monday mornin. I'm goin out to top off the doubler and t-case this evenin so he'll be able to tell for sure where it's leakin from. Should be in great shape next week.
Took it accross town today and ran it at highway speeds for the first time. Ran really cool and the rpms seem to be almost 500 less than before. It ran really well. I'll get another good run on it when I take it to John up in Newton in a few days.
