I have an 04 S/D 6.0 with a superchip programmer when driving i hear a beeping noise from under the dash on drivers side when i let off the throttle it goes away anybody else hear of this Thanks
I have never heard of a beeping that only happens under throttle.
There is a beeper that goes off when your keys are in the ignition and the door is open, when your seatbelt isn't fastened, when there is a problem with the airbag system, and when the lights are on with the truck off and door open. Are you sure it isn't one of these? Is the seatbelt light or door ajar light on? Are you sure it doesn't chime a certain number of times and then let off?
I think I know what you are talking about. It sort of sounds like a beep. I think it is the turbo. Is your sound constant or every so often? With the sound I am thinking about, I hear it every now and again under accel and cruise.
I just googled the beeping noise Im hearing and ended up here. Mine sounds like a faint back-up beep you hear on large trucks in reverse. Only does it when Im laying on throttle to increase boost. It just started doing this. I have a stock 04 w/85k miles
Mine had when I pulled a steep grade with my 15,000lb 5th wheel, what I called an electronic high pitched squeal, after replacing FICM it is much less and barely noticable. I think it is one of the high voltage components in the FICM
The beep of doom!! Do not ask for whom the beeper beeps - it beeps for thee! To abusively paraphrase the beloved bard of London. Sorry couldn't resist - humour problem.
