My 1979 F350 (new to me) has grease nipples on the front end and elsewhere. Does this vehicle have to be chassis lubed and if so how often?? Are these grease points lubed for life?? Please advise.....
In the old days when oil was changed every 1000 miles, the vehicles were lubed at the same time. So with that in mind, follow your own instincts. No, the parts aren't lubed for life....if you don't lube on a regular basis, the "life" will be very short. FYI: Autoparts stores sell cartridge type hand held lube guns.

if your gonna buy a greasegun get the pistol grip one it is easier to operate cause you can hold the tip on the zerk eaiser, and it requires less space to operate it
